MAST is a primary school based project aimed at the early identification of, and support to, children experiencing emotional and behaviour problems. MAST provides targeted interventions to the top 25 most socially deprived schools, as well as outreach work within the remaining 40 schools. The service has expanded over the last three years to meet increasingly diverse and complex demands and now delivers a very effective and truly multi-agency approach to behavioural problems. The MAST Coordinator has become responsible for a team of around 18 staff, three of which are directly funded by the Children’s Fund
